This 30 days was all about superfood information… now let’s put them in use!
We would want to share with you 3 superfood smoothie recipes: sweet smoothie (kids will love it), green smoothie and 1 of my superfood smoothie (chocolate herbal super smoothie )
“Power Plant", nutrient-dense green superfood smoothie!
Ingredients:
2 medium leaves of kale
2 tablespoons shelled raw hemp seeds
1 cup pure water
1 large Fuji apple, cored and chopped
1 teaspoon green superfood powder
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 and 1/2 tablespoons raw hemp protein powder
2 tablespoons dried goji berries
2 teaspoons raw maca root powder
Working with a high-speed blender such as Vita-mix (http://www.vitamix.com and enter 06-005636 to get free shipping), blend together all of the ingredients till the apple, kale, hemp seeds, goji berries, and chia seeds have been entirely broken down and the mixture is rich and creamy. Pour the mixture in a tall glass. Serve!
“Strawberry Shake"
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 cup ripe organic strawberries
6 small dates (or 4 medium dates, or 2 very large dates), pitted
1/2 of a large vanilla bean, or 1/4 teaspoon of raw ground vanilla powder
1 tablespoon raw coconut butter
Using a high-speed blender (Vita-mix, http://www.vitamix.com and key in 06-005636 to get free shipping), first mix together the dates, almond milk, coconut butter and vanilla until rich and creamy. Then add the strawberries and mix again right until the strawberries seeds have been completely incorporated. If you have a Vita-Mix or other type of ultra powerful blender, the end result should be virtually seedless. Pour the mixture into a tall glass. Garnish the glass with a tiny strawberry. Serve!
If you would like to add more superfoods to this recipe, add some chia and hemp seeds and a few bee pollen. You cannot really taste any of them but you will be getting all the benefits.
BeWellBuzz Chocolate Herbal Super Smoothie “Vegas Style"
Ingredients:
cup cashews
2 pinches of sea salt
1 tsp hemp seeds (optional)
Two inches of warm tea
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp local raw honey
1 drop full of stevia
Blend on high for 30 secs
Then add the following:
1 Banana
Big handful of frozen berries
Big handful Goji Berries
2-3 tbsp cacao
1 tbsp maca
1 tbsp mesquite
1 tbsp tocotrienols
1 tbsp barley protein
2 tbsp chia seeds
tsp mucuna
1 tsp local bee pollen
tsp ashwagandha
1 tsp shilajit
1 tsp MSM
1 tbsp Green Powder (HealthForce Vitamineral Greens)
1 tsp hemp protein powder (Sunwarrior)
1 . 5 cups either Coconut Water or Nut Milk
