Losing Weight And Having A Smile About It

Losing Weight And Having A Smile About It

Do you really believe that to lose weight is the most important thing in the world? Do we really believe that we will be totally happy when we got the body that we are wanting and dreaming about? Are we really going to be happy when we see how people around us are appreciating our looks and fit body?

Well, these questions are just some of the concerns that we need to face in our struggle to lose weight. Losing weight is now becoming a fad that some people are going crazy over about. It has been like a do or die phenomenon. Although for some people it can be a “good if you do, and good if you don’t" thing.

But what really makes us so determined in our attempt to lose weight? Is it because for our own reasons or for some healthy ones? Or is it just because the process actually puts a smile in our lips? Yes, another set of questions

One of the most loved fairy tales said that what is essential is always invisible to the naked eye. It is only by and with the heart that we can relay feel and see the beauty of one person. Appearance, looks, good physique are the things that we readily see in other people. Sometimes we also readily accept these without even bothering to consider the inside beauty. And sometimes, because other people always tend to see the physical looks beyond the more important ones, the more we strive to lose weight and have the body that everybody will appreciate.

This scenario is so dominant that we sometimes forget that losing weight can also be good for health reasons, for our own self-improvement, and can be something of a personal achievement. It should not be something that we get so obsessed about that we starve ourselves to death by not eating properly. It would be a perfect thing if you are motivated to lose weight not because you have to, but more because you have to.

I believe that reason will be all the more reason for you to smile and be happy about. To lose weight through exercise, a good and proper diet, and a healthy lifestyle is relevant and reasonable rather than by taking harmful medications, surgery, and most of all self-induced starvation. What will be your reason to smile here now?

Okay, granted that you are getting tired of your overweight body; you hated your double chin so much, you are also getting pissed off with your waistline due to the extra flab there, and the worse thing is that every time you look at the mirror you hated yourself even more. Then what makes of those negative feeling you have about yourself? You will only end up having psychological concerns as well. The disgust you feel will eventually turn into having a very low esteem, stress and distress, anxiety, and worse comes to worse, eating disorders like anorexia, binge eating, and even bulimia.

What did you achieved in the process? Nothing much. But a lot of thing worse. So instead of killing and punishing yourself just so you will lose weight, think about this—wouldn’t it feel great if you will lose weight and still manage to smile in the long process? Well, this is just an awakening call to those who are deeply asleep over the dream of losing weight.
